I posted a picture of Private Fraser from Dad's Army captioned "we're all doomed" alongside a post about economic prospects back in 2008.   For a while it clearly resonated as that search term drove a lot of traffic to my blog.  Interestingly it is once again generating traffic after a period when it didn't.   So have we all lost confidence again?  Was Private Fraser really afraid of a double dip recession?    I suspect that sentiment might improve once the outcome of the government spending review is announced.  Clearly it will not be good news, but uncertainty is worse than bad news.       Perhaps Corporal Jones "Don't Panic!" would be a better motto for these times?
