I have 16 years of senior level experience in venture capital, as a corporate finance adviser and strategist, and as a manager in industry.
After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant I spent six years in venture capital with 3i plc. I led and managed transactions and a portfolio of investments in a variety of industries including technology and life sciences.
As a corporate finance adviser, primarily with Ernst & Young, I was lead adviser on a wide range of transactions including management buyouts, corporate disposals, start ups and technology financings. As a member of Ernst & Young’s national corporate finance technology team, I had a particular focus on finance raising and business planning.
Completing my perspective on corporate financing and strategy I has spent time as Finance Director of a UK based manufacturing business, and CFO of a Cambridge based technology company. I retain non-executive directorships with these companies.
I am also to be seen on stage singing Tenor roles with various Operatic clubs around Cambridge.
Music - eclectic taste, but as a performer usually Gilbert & Sullivan, with occasional foray's into "proper" music such as Mozart and Tavener. Skiing, Sailing & Cycling
